Small business in America

Small business in America seems to be a dieing breed or in this persons eyes and ears its about ikstinct.Ask yourself this, why is it that Walmart and Taret do so well and not places like the mom and pop places.WHY YOU ASK.Most people have half a paycheck now  and shorter hours so to them its cheaper to go to theses stores because the can,t afford to pay the money they use to for quality things.Also its the higher taxes and costs of just plain old living day to day.I am a small business and i have seen this lost in revenue going on for years.If i make cheapstuff that takes about 5 minute to make  and is simple and charge something like 10.00 to  sell i might make a little profit but most people save there money to put kids through coolege and pay for the basic needs of day to day life. So whats wrong with this picture?I want to know.Thats why i stated this blog.Please at your 10 cents  or what ever to it i nee opinnions Thanks.
