Start Date Set For Kirk Road Concrete Repair Project

Repairs will span from East State Street in Geneva to Route 63 in St. Charles.

GENEVA, IL — The Kane County Division of Transportation-helmed project to repair Kirk Road is set to begin the week of April 6, Geneva officials announced.

The Portland cement concrete repairs will span from East State Street in Geneva to Route 63 in St. Charles.

Work will include patching, accessible sidewalk ramp improvements, concrete median removal and replacement, and concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement.

City officials expect construction to be completed by the end of July, weather permitting.

Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Kirk Road will remain open, but lane closures will be required and will vary as needed, officials said.
