State Street Lane Closes For Water Service Repair

GENEVA, IL — A westbound East State Street lane in Geneva will be closed for part of Friday while crews complete a water service repair project.

The lane, spanning from Garfield to Bennett streets, closed at 9 a.m. for the underground project, which is expected to be finished later on Friday. Both eastbound lanes remain open.

Crews from the Geneva Works Department are working on the maintenance. Officials are asking drivers to slow down and use caution when driving through the work zone.
