Officials announce Swedish Day Carnival for June 21 is cancelled due to weather.

GENEVA, IL — The Swedish Days Carnival is cancelled for June 21 due to the weather, Geneva Chamber of Commerce reported Thursday morning. Officials add that the Library's Fun Under Tent has been moved indoors at the Library and the Geneva History Museum Trolley Tours will still run as scheduled.

Swedish Days 2018 kicked off June 19 and is scheduled to run through June 24, with plenty of live music and entertainment, food, drink, carnival rides, a parade, plenty of kids events and the transformation of South Fourth and State streets into Sweden Väst, a Swedish-inspired destination that includes entertainment, art, gifts, food and activities.
