AT&T Works To Replace Outdated Equipment in Geneva
Work is scheduled to take place from Monday, Oct. 15 to Friday, Dec. 7, on the city's west side.

Construction is underway on the replacement of outdated AT&T equipment on the city’s west side, city officials said. The company announced plans to replace the cable television, Internet and phone service equipment located in utility easements throughout Geneva, starting on the city’s west side, with construction scheduled to take place from Monday, Oct. 15 to Friday, Dec. 7, according to a news release. The work will run primarily along Peck Road from Keslinger to Bricher roads.
The impacted subdivisions include Prairie Ridge, Westhaven and Prairie View. Work will include boring through the easements, which are typically a strip of land running along the street, sidewalk, rear lot line or between two lots, city officials said.
New conduit will then be installed underground. Archon Construction, AT&T’s contractor, will be placing door hangers on all impacted properties, according to a news release.

Once construction is finished, AT&T will restore lawns where digging has occurred. Residents are then encouraged to water the impacted areas following the grass repairs.
