Traffic Light Out At State, Seventh Streets In Downtown Geneva
Officials are encouraging drivers to use alternate routes until the light is repaired.

GENEVA, IL — A traffic light at the intersection of State and Seventh streets in downtown Geneva is not working Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
As a result, officials are encouraging drivers to use alternate routes until the light is repaired.

A traffic light contractor for the Illinois Department of Transportation began working on the intersection around 11:30 a.m. Signage and flags have been posted to warn drivers to treat the intersection like a three-way stop.
City officials said IDOT did not provide them with any advanced notification of scheduled traffic signal maintenance in the area. No crashes happened at the intersection Tuesday morning, according to Geneva police.
