Traffic, Parking Lot Will Be Impacted By Water Main Repair Scheduled Near Delnor Hospital

Crews isolated a water leak near the hospital last week but need to finish the full water main repair when temperatures warm up.

GENEVA, IL — A water main repair is scheduled in early February near Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva.

The city responded last week to a water leak at Keslinger Road and Delnor Drive on the south end of the hospital campus. Crews were able to isolate the water leak but need to finish the full water main repair when temperatures warm up, officials said.

The public works team is planning to complete the project Feb. 3 or Feb. 4, if weather permits. When construction begins, the southbound lane of Delnor Drive to Keslinger Road will be closed to traffic beginning at 8 a.m. As a result, drivers leaving the hospital will need to use Fisher Drive or Williamsburg Avenue.

The driveway from the parking lot at Tri-Cities Diaysis, 306 S. Randall Road, and the neighboring Northwestern Medicine Ophthalmology, headed to southbound Delnor Drive, will be closed during the repair. The parking lot's north entrance and exit will remain accessible.

Hospital staff and visitors should plan to enter the campus on northbound Delnor Drive from Keslinger Road.
