Tri-Cities Grocers Fight Back Against Lawsuits
Blue Goose Market in St. Charles and Aldi's in Batavia are being sued by customers following two separate incidents.

Blue Goose Market in St. Charles is fighting back against a lawsuit filed by an Elburn woman who is seeking $50,000 in damages after she bit into a cherry pie that contained a pit, according to the Daily Herald. Blue Goose says it shouldn’t be held at fault since the store buys the pies from a distributor.
Aldi in Batavia is being sued by a woman who was injured when a bottle of lemon juice fell from a shelf and hit her in August 2013, the newspaper reports. But Aldi’s defense attorney says the woman was in fact negligent because she was not aware of her surroundings or any potential hazards.
