Officials said the underground electric vault in downtown Geneva was damaged by a contractor truck.

GENEVA, IL — A sidewalk and several parking spaces on Third Street will be closed June 5 to make way for construction, officials announced.
Crews from the Geneva Public Works Department's Electric Division will be replacing an underground electric vault near the southeast corner of Third and Fulton streets damaged by a contractor truck.
The sidewalk and parking spaces on the east side of Third Street will be closed, but lanes of traffic will remain open, officials said. Construction is expected to be completed in one day, weather permitting.
