URGENT! Foster Homes Needed for THIS Saturday 12/1/18!
will you please help make these dogs Holidays Merry and Bright?
Our partner shelter in Tennessee is OVERFLOWING! Safe Have Dog Rescue just moved 21 dogs from this shelter a few weeks ago and they are already FULL! The shelter will need to begin euthanizing for space unless rescue can step in to help relieve the over crowding.
Safe Haven Dog Rescue does not have a physical location and the dogs in our program rely upon the generosity of families that open their homes to provide a temporary Safe Haven. We can only save as many dogs as we have foster homes. Every week we have to turn away hundreds of requests to accept dogs into our adoption program.
These dogs have the chance to come to Illinois the weekend of 12/1/18, but we need committed foster homes to make that happen.

Apache is a beautiful 2 yr old possible shepherd mix. He's a sweet boy and at 50 lbs would make someone a great family dog. He had some skin issues which have since been treated and his fur is growing back in nicely!
Trooper is an adorably cute Boxer Shepherd mix. He's a love bug with people and also plays well with the dogs he's met. He's about 1 yr old and between 50-60 lbs.

Ramses, Tut, and Narmer, small mix brothers are looking for someone to open their home this holiday season. They are sweet, playful and get along with other dogs and humans. They can be fostered separately or together.
Mork and Mindy - 8 month old mixes, said to be super sweet and Heartworm Negative! Can be fostered together or separately.
Delta - About 1.5 years old, HW Negative, and a complete love!
Cleopatra - Possibly the mother of Ramses, Tut, and Narmer. She is sad in the shelter and keeps wanting to be picked up. Walks pretty good on a leash. The shelter believes that she’ll make a great companion to someone.
Fostering is a challenging but extremely rewarding experience…
- Have you been thinking about adding a canine companion to your family but not certain?
- Have you ever wondered if your dog would like a playmate?
- Would you like to have the first choice to adopt some amazing pups?
NOW is your chance! Our fosters have the first choice to adopt! Safe Haven Dog Rescue pays for all vetting (done locally in Geneva, South Elgin, Wheaton, Naperville and Elmhurst) and provides you with a crate, collar, leash, food, treats, toys, and more while you foster.
For more information and a foster home application, please email safehavendogsil@yahoo.com. We need to let the shelter know by Wednesday 11/28.
No one can do everything, but everyone can do something. If you are not in a position to foster, please SHARE this information. Thank you!
