Viking Volleyball Team Defeats DeKalb, Ups Season Record to 10-2

The Viking volleyball team upped its season record to 10-2 and Upstate Eight record 2-0 with a hard-fought win Thursday in DeKalb.

The Vikings beat the Barbs 25-23, 25-23.

Brooke Binette led the team in kills, with seven, and added seven digs on defense. Riley Sullivan and Ashleigh Shain had eight digs each. Brooke Morphis ran a smart offense and totaled 13 assists.

"Everyone stepped on that court and played with passion," assistant varsity coach Jaime Splum reported. "Geneva kept the momentum during the entire match."
