Vintage Bike Stolen From Volunteer at Kane Co. Forest Preserve
Anyone who spots the bike can call 911 and ask for a Forest Preserve District of Kane County police officer.

KANE COUNTY, IL — The Forest Preserve District of Kane County is asking for the public's help in tracking down a vintage bike that was stolen from one of its longtime volunteers. The volunteer was out "scouting the woods" at Bliss Woods Forest Preserve in Sugar Grove when she laid her 1973 Schwinn bike down in the woods on Tuesday. She left it for about 15 minutes.
When she returned, it was missing, according to a post on the Kane County Forest Preserve District Facebook page.
The bike is an original 1973 Schwinn that has been rebuilt with a generator light. If anyone spots the bike they should call 911 and ask for a Forest Preserve District of Kane County police officer.
