Warm Clothes, Gift Cards Needed For Winter Needs Drive In Geneva
The Geneva Police Department is participating in the Association for Individual Development's winter needs drive.
GENEVA, IL — Geneva police are participating in a drive to help those in need this season and invite the community to donate.
The department is taking part in the Association for Individual Development's winter needs drive from which donations will be given to people participating in AID victim services, which provides 24-hour assistance to victims of violent crime or trauma.
Locals wanting to help are encouraged to donate new or used tents, tarps, blankets, hoodies, long-sleeve shirts, hats, gloves, scarves, winter jackets, hand warmers, food and gas gift cards, and monetary donations. All goods can be brought to the police department's lobby, 20 Police Plaza.

The last day to donate to the drive is Jan. 31.
The City of Geneva began partnering with the association in 2020 to have a part-time, on-site social worker at the Geneva Police Department. The contracted staffer, Allison Bader, is available to work with Geneva residents.
