The Vikings lead 42-0 at the half and coast to the win.
The Geneva Vikings showed off their passing game in the first half on the way to a 42-20 win Friday at Elgin.
It wasn't really as close as the score made it look.
The Vikings led 21-0 after the first quarter and 42-0 at the half. The Maroons got back in it despite the running clock in the second half. A score on a screen pass in the final two minutes of the game helped make the score look respectable.

Geneva advances to 5-2 overall, 4-1 in the Upstate Eight River Division. Elgin falls to 0-7, 0-4.
