Halloween Hayday, Howl ‘O Ween Dog Parade This Saturday in Geneva

Both events will be held this Saturday in Geneva.

The Geneva Park District will host two family-friendly Halloween events this Saturday in Geneva.

Halloween Hayday will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center, 3507 Kaneville Road in Geneva, on Oct. 29. Activities include kids games, costume contest, cookie decorating, bounce houses, hay rides, and more, according to the park district website.

The event is geared for children ages 14 years old and younger and those attending are encouraged to wear costumes. Pre-registration is recommended.

For those who pre-register, the cost is $5 for residents and $8 for non-residents. Day-of registration is $7 for residents and $10 for non-residents.

Also on Saturday, the park district will host its free Howl ‘O Ween Dog Parade at Peck Farm Park, 4038 Kaneville Road. Prizes will be awarded for most creative, funniest and scariest costumes. Line-up is at 1:15 p.m. in front of the Peck House. The parade begins promptly at 1:30 p.m.
