Where To Eat On Valentine's Day In Geneva: Readers Respond

GENEVA, IL — Valentine's Day will be here before you know it, but that doesn't mean you have to venture outside of Geneva to find a romantic spot to take your sweetie. We recently asked Geneva Patch readers to weigh in on their favorite restaurants to take a date on Valentine's Day.

Readers listed several places in town as favorites, but Atwater's Restaurant at Herrington Inn reigned as number one. Niche, Fiora's, Stockholm's Restaurant and Livia Italian Eatery each received several nods as well.

Atwater's Restaurant, 15 S. River Lane

Patch readers voted Atwater's, located at The Herrington Inn & Spa, as the most romantic restaurant in town.

Readers suggested ordering crab cakes, Faroe Island salmon or any seafood on the menu.

One person, who celebrated their 25th anniversary with dinner in the restaurant's gazebo overlooking the river, said Atwater's is a "great place for special occasions."

"The staff are impeccably attentive and the venue is a wonderful oasis and opportunity to get 'off the beaten path,'" another reader said. "I have had the outdoor gazebo on my radar for some time now!"
