Zonta Club Offers Scholarships for Women Returning to School

Zonta Club-St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia is offering a non-traditional scholarship for one or more applicants.
The Fran Johnson Second Chance Scholarship is for women 25 or older that left education to work or start a a family, etc and are re-starting or continuing their education. Applicants must be a resident of one of the following Illinois communities: Elgin, South Elgin, West Dundee, East Dundee, Carpentersville, Hampshire, or Huntley (Kane Co.). Applicants for all career fields are encouraged to apply, but career fields historically underpopulated by women; such as engineering, sciences, aeronautics, etc., will be given priority consideration due to their alignment with the Zonta mission.
This scholarship will be awarded to support the semester beginning August/September 2018. Complete applications are due BY June 1, 2018.
