Zonta Club Offers Scholarships for Women Returning to School

Zonta Club-St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia is offering a non-traditional scholarship for one or more applicants. The Fran Johnson Second Chance Scholarship is for women 25 years of age or older that have been in the workforce and are starting or continuing their education. Applicants must be a resident of one of the following Illinois communities: Elgin, South Elgin, West Dundee, East Dundee, Carpentersville, Hampshire, or Huntley (Kane Co.). Applicants for all career fields are encouraged to apply, but career fields historically underpopulated by women; such as engineering, sciences, aeronautics, etc., will be given priority consideration due to their alignment with Zonta International's mission. This scholarship will be awarded to support the semester beginning January 2017. Complete applications are due BY October 15, 2016.
