• Illinois bookkeeper accused of stealing more than $1.3M from suburban business (fox32chicago.com) — Glendale Heights firefighters once responded to a house fire at the home of a bookkeeper now accused of stealing more than $1.3 million from a Bensenville business, allegedly forcing it to close and lay off over 40 workers. DuPage County prosecutors say the longtime employee used electronic transfers and company information over several years for personal spending and out-of-state payments, while she maintains a not-guilty plea.
