GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn Village Council will review a request April 27 that would permit Holes & Knolls Miniature Golf Course to serve beer and wine.
The council will consider an ordinance amendment that would increase its liquor control code to allow for one Class K liquor license.
Per village code, a Class K liquor license "authorizes the retail sale of beer and wine on a specific premises owned by a park district within a building and the immediate adjacent open space of a miniature golf course for consumption only in the building and the immediate adjacent open space
where the product is sold."
Currently, there are no Class K liquor licenses authorized in the village.
According to village documents, granting the liquor license request align's with the Strategic Plan's Economic Development Strategy to improve "commercial vitality" and increase growth in sales tax and equalized assessed value.
The 36-hole Holes & Knolls Miniature Golf Course opened in Maryknoll Park in 2005. The course is set to kick off its 2026 season Friday.
The village board meeting will be held April 27 at 7 p.m. in Glen Ellyn Civic Center.
