GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn plan commission will host a public hearing Thursday to discuss a proposal for a Dutch Bros. coffee.

Petitioners have proposed the drive-thru only coffee shop for 750 Roosevelt Rd., which was formerly home to Danby's Station.

A pre-application meeting was held in January for the redevelopment. According to village documents, the building housing Danby's Station Cafe would be demolished if the Dutch Bros Coffee Shop proposal gets formal approval.

Danby's Station has not responded to Patch's requests for comment.

On the real estate website LoopNet, Danby's 4,000 square foot restaurant property is listed as available for lease as of Jan. 21.

Dutch Bros is proposing the construction of a single-story, 1,250 square foot building with two drive-thru lanes. The site's parking lot would also be redeveloped if the project is approved.

The plan commission meeting is set for June 25 at 7 p.m.
