Week 3 of the MAC's Lakeside Pavilion Summer 2026 Free Outdoor Summer Series features a WDCB LIVE Jazz Concert: The Battle: Eric Alexander & Vincent Herring (7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 22) and The Barricade Boys (7:30 p.m., Thursday, July 13).

On July 22, world class jazz saxophonists Eric Alexander and Vincent Herring will treat audiences to an unforgettable night of hard swinging sounds and masterful improvisation. Alexander & Herring, who’ve been performing together for more than 20 years, will lock horns in the tradition of saxophone “battles” made famous by jazz legends like Gene Ammons and Sonny Stitt.

On July 23, The Barricade Boys, stars of London’s West End, return with a show filled with powerhouse vocals, slick dance routines and an incredible array of music. From the emotion of “Les Misérables” to the raw energy of “West Side Story,” they will conduct a magical musical journey with melodies from the world’s greatest songwriters including Billy Joel, Elton John and Queen.

Both performances take place at the MAC's Lakeside Pavilion, located on the campus of College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn, Ill. The Lakeside Pavilion opens 90 minutes before each performance. Concessions will be available. In case of inclement weather, events will move indoors to the Belushi Performance Hall and a notice will be posted on the MAC's website.

To enhance the Lakeside food vendors and a bar will be available. No outside alcohol is permitted. Picnicking is welcome in a designated area, while the central lawn will be reserved for seating to maximize capacity. Guests are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations to benefit the Glen House Food Pantry and COD Student Fuel Pantry.

In addition to the Lakeside Pavilion Series events, attendees can also take in the free outdoor exhibition “Walking With Giants” honoring America’s artistic legacy with 10-foot-tall sculptures of 10 of America’s favorite visual, music, theater and dance artists.
