LOMBARD, IL — A Lombard man has been accused of sexually abusing and assaulting multiple minors between 2023 and 2025.
Adam Johnson, 25, of the 2200 block of Highland Avenue, was charged with criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual abuse and child sex abuse material in connection with the incidents.
Police say Johnson used social media to target the minor girls and set up meetings with them.
Johnson is accused of sexually abusing one girl, who was born in 2008, at his apartment "on multiple occasions" and sexually abusing her during one incident.
He is also accused of sexually assaulting and abusing another girl, who was born in 2010.
A warrant was issued for Johnson's arrest on July 20, 2026. He is being held in DuPage County Jail and was denied pretrial release.
"The allegations against Mr. Johnson are extremely disturbing," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement.
Berlin added, "The safety and well-being of our children remain my office's top priority, and anyone caught engaging in this type of conduct will quickly find themselves apprehended, charged and, if found guilty, facing a significant amount of time behind bars."
