Glen Ellyn Backyard BBQ Returns To Celebrate 18th Year

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Dozens of teams are set to compete in the 18th Annual Glen Ellyn Backyard BBQ, which will be held Sept. 12 in the Duane Street Metra parking lot.

In addition to fare from the fest's amateur barbecuing contest, food and drink will be available for purchase from other vendors.

Attendees can enjoy live music throughout the fest. The performance schedule is as follows.

• 1 p.m.: Blank Tape
• 2:45 p.m.: Lake Effect
• 4:45 p.m.: Amy Kelly and the Beaver Moon Band
• 7:30 p.m.: Serendipity

A special children's area will offer inflatables, face painting and other activities.

Proceeds from the event benefit Bridge Communities.
