GLEN ELLYN, IL — Poppie's Pasta recently announced the grand opening of its restaurant in Glen Ellyn will be delayed due to "unexpected, last-minute permit requirements," according to a post on their Instagram page Monday.
"While this isn't the news we wanted to bring you, we're doing everything we can to move forward while following the rules and regulations set by the Village," the post continued.
The restaurant, which currently has a location in Villa Park, offers traditional Italian pastas that are made in-house daily and topped with scratch-made sauces. Entrees include pappardelle with port-braised lamb ragu, gnocchi Milanese with vodka sauce and pear and gorgonzola ravioli. Subs, garlic bread sandwiches, focaccia and desserts are also available.
Poppie's Pasta will be located at 552 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.
