A GoFundMe was created to help raise funds for the shelter. According to the fundraiser description, no cats died in the fire, but some did escape the premises.

The description said, "While we are incredibly grateful that no lives have been reported lost, the shelter has suffered an overwhelming loss."

Cat Guardians plans to move the cats into a new building. The GoFundMe is asking for monetary donations to help provide food, litter, cages, beds and other needs for the cats.

As of Monday afternoon, the GoFundMe had raised $9,300 of its $20,000 goal.
