GLENVIEW, IL — While May is Small Business Month, local owners can make August special as well by partaking in a grant program through Cook County. Through Aug. 18, grant applications will be accepted through The Source Grant program, which includes $40 million in grants available in Cook County.

Cook County Commissioner Scott Britton (D-Glenview) is inviting small businesses and chamber members in the 14th District to a virtual information session over Zoom on Friday to discuss the grants program. Members of the Cook County Bureau of Economic Development will talk about how the grants are intended to "help stabilize operations, foster recovery and resiliency, and advance equity in a post-pandemic economy."

"Small businesses are crucial to the vitality and well-being of our communities," Britton said. "These grants dollars signify the County’s commitment to ensuring the small businesses and the residents they serve continue to thrive."
