150 Best Illinois Towns to Call Home: Glenview is No. 9
Niche reporting website shows Glenview as being a better place to live than most towns. But

Niche reporting website Roadsnacks.net has analyzed 342 of the state’s most populous cities and has determined that Glenview is among the ten best in which to live.
The site recently ranked the best and worst places to live in Illinois using FBI crime data, the government census, Labor Bureau statistics and Sperling’s Best Places. The website’s rankings are based on unemployment, housing, median income, education, crime and population density. Many of these communities perennially rank high on annual Time, Money and Business Week lists of the Best Places to Live.
According to Roadsnacks, Glenview families have an average household income of $99,841 and the average home sale goes for $447,000.
With great parks, schools and sidewalks in some neighborhoods, it’s no surprise Glenview was ranked among the best places to live. The Glen Town Center has proved to be a weekend shopping destination for residents throughout the region and the Naval Air Station site will always provide historical significance for the village.
The list was extremely kind to the North Shore. Wilmette, Highland Park, Deerfield and Northbrook all came away with a rank even higher than Glenview. See the full rankings here.
