ID Of 16-Year-Old Girl Fatally Shot In North Shore Released: Medical Examiner

The Cook County Sheriff's Office is searching for a person of interest following the Saturday morning incident, according to reports.

NORTH SHORE, IL — The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has released the name of the 16-year-old who was shot and killed Saturday morning at a Northbrook apartment (unincorporated Glenview).

The deceased has been identified as Lilly B. Bova, who is listed as a resident of the 3600 block of South Salem, where the fatal incident occurred.

WGN-TV is reporting the shooting occurred at around 11 a.m. Bova was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where she died from her injuries about two hours after the Cook County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
