4 Suspects Threaten Restaurant Customer: Glenview PD Blotter
The quartet told the victim to "step outside" and said they were going to beat them up.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Oluyemi Adeniran, 47, of the 500 block of Love Drive, Prospect Heights, is accused of battery, had a warrant out of Wheeling, and was arrested at 3:03 p.m. Dec. 28. The new charge came from an incident that occurred on Nov. 8 in the 4700 block of West Lake Avenue, Glenview. After being arrested for the warrant in Wheeling, he was sent to the Glenview Police Department for processing. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 16, 2024.

INCIDENTS
THEFT
- A Windsor Drive resident reported at 10:54 a.m. Dec. 26, they received a phone call from a person who informed them they failed to appear in court as a witness after being subpoenaed. The person told them to pay a $9,000 bond for failing to show up. The resident realized this a scam. There was no monetary loss.
- A Northbrook resident reported at 5:31 p.m. Dec. 30, having a pair of boots stolen while in a class in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road.
- A Skokie resident called police at 11:10 a.m. Dec. 31, to report someone stole their gold chain and wedding ring while at a business in the 3900 block of Glenview Road.
DECEPTIVE PRACTICE
A business owner in the 1600 block of Waukegan Road called police on Dec. 26 to report that earlier in the month on Dec. 13, a customer cashed a $600 check. On Dec. 18 and Dec. 21, the check was returned due to insufficient funds.
THREAT
A resident in the 1500 block of Sunset Ridge Road called police at 3:23 p.m. Dec. 26, to report a man called and said, "I'm gonna get you…I'm coming for you, watch your back."
RETAIL THEFT
- An employee for a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road called police at 3:45 p.m. Dec. 26, to report a female stole merchandise from the store and fled the scene in an unknown black SUV. Total loss is $437.82.
- An employee of a business in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 11:33 a.m. Dec. 31, a person took $661.75 worth of over-the-counter medications from the store. The suspect left the area in a black Chevrolet Equinox, unknown license plate.
ASSAULT
A Chicago resident reported at 4:29 p.m. Dec. 26, to report being approached by four suspects while they were eating at a restaurant in the 1600 block of Waukegan Road. The suspects told the victim to "step outside" and said they were going to beat them up.
HARASSMENT BY TELEPHONE
An Ardmore Avenue resident reported at 5:48 p.m. Dec. 26, to report receiving several phone calls and texts from a blocked phone number. The unknown suspect left vulgar messages on their phone.
IDENTITY THEFT
- An Echo Lane resident reported at 6:11 p.m. Dec. 27, several unauthorized charges were made on their bank card. There were also several personal items missing from their residence. The total loss is approximately $2,500.
- A Skokie resident flagged down an officer at 4:14 p.m. Dec. 29, and reported multiple unauthorized purchases from various locations on their debit Mastercard. Total loss is $4,270.35.
LOST PROPERTY
- A Skokie resident called police at 6 p.m. Dec. 27, to report losing their handbag while shopping at a business in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
- A Cove Lane resident reported at 9:58 p.m. Dec. 27, losing their wallet while running errands in Skokie and Lincoln Park.
FLEEING AND ELUDING
Glenview officers located a stolen maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee (IL-BT15754) stopped at a traffic stop at 2:40 a.m. Dec. 28, in the traffic light at Landwehr Road and West Lake Ave. A traffic stop was attempted, but the Grand Cherokee fled the scene at a high rate of speed and ran the red light at East Lake Avenue and Tall Trees Road. The vehicle was occupied by three unknown suspects.
NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
A resident in the 1200 block of 50th Court, Cicero, was reported at 4:34 p.m. Dec. 28, for no valid driver's license, expired registration, after a traffic stop in the 800 block of Milwaukee Avenue. They were released with a court date.
BATTERY
A Chicago resident reported at 6:35 p.m. Dec. 29, they were inappropriately touched by a co-worker during a massage in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road.
