$5 Million Lottery Win For Lifelong Glenview Resident
A ticket from a self-service machine at a Jewel-Osco was an instant multi-million dollar winner.

GLENVIEW, IL — A Glenview man instantly won a multi-million dollar prize from the Illinois Lottery after buying a ticket at a self-service machine. Thomas Holloway, a lifelong Glenview resident bought a "Million $$ Match" ticket from the Jewel-Osco at 1340 Patriot Blvd., and scratched it.
"I was shocked when I saw the $5 million prize amount," Holloway said. He decided to take his prize as a one-time lump sum payment of $3 million.
"I have already met with financial planners," he said as he was presented with his winning ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Des Plaines. "I am going to invest this money wisely."

The ticket Holloway bought cost $30. The "Million $$ Match" game features three $5 million top prizes, five $1 million prizes and 14 $100,000 prizes. The other two top prizes, four of the $1 million prizes and 9 of the $100,000 prizes have yet to be claimed, according to a news release from Northstar Lottery Group, the private manager of the Illinois Lottery. Jewel received 1 percent of the total prize amount for selling the winning ticket, netting a $50,000 bonus, according to the release.
