The sign went up Thursday, April 16, 2025 on Glenview Road, marking the arrival of Cerca—a five-story, 62-unit luxury apartment building now sandwiched on the corner across from Gusto, Glenview Grind coffee shop, and the Glenview House, just alongside the Metra railroad tracks.

Located at 1850 Glenview Road, Cerca rises from the former site of Bess Hardware, directly across from the Glenview Metra station. Developed by The Drake Group as a mixed-use, transit-oriented community, the building is set to welcome its first residents in June 2026.

With a brick exterior and modern balconies, the architectural rendering promises a revitalized downtown core. But the real draw lies inside and up top. Residents will find a landscaped, resort-style outdoor amenity deck—complete with a putting green, fire pits surrounded by outdoor TVs, a grill pavilion, and a fenced pet play area.

The top floor offers a private collection of 12 penthouse residences, featuring enhanced finishes, private terraces, and exclusive amenities like a curated refreshment bar with local “sips and bites,” plus priority parking access.

Inside the units: luxe vinyl plank flooring, dual vanities, walk-in showers with subway tile, and quartz countertops. Sizes range from a three-bedroom, 1,395-square-foot floor plan starting around $6,575 per month, to two-bedroom units beginning near $5,975—each with private balconies and in-unit laundry.

The first floor will also house 7,000 square feet of retail space, blending high-end living with neighborhood convenience. For now, all that’s missing is the first resident to tee up on the putting green before catching the train.
