Alcohol Could be Served at Glenview Hair Salons Soon
Village plans to amend liquor license code to allow for booze sales at hair salons.

GLENVIEW, IL - Just last year, the village of Glenview began to allow movie theaters to serve alcohol, and it seems that hair salons are next on the list.
The village attorney is in the midst of drafting an ordinance to create a new class of liquor licenses allowing alcoholic beverage service at hair salons, according to the Daily North Shore.

The opening of Ten Friends Blow Dry & Style House - which serves booze at its other two locations in the Chicago suburbs - was initial cause to enact the change. Anthony Vince Nail Spa, which will open next month, also wants to serve alcohol.
Discussion among village trustees included whether or not a $2,000 liquor license fee was sufficient and the number of drinks which will be limited. Trustees agreed that food must also be available whenever alcohol is served at the salons.
