A Glenview native will take the stage at the upcoming Wisconsin School of Business graduation celebration.
Bella Shim, a 2022 graduate of Glenbrook South High School, has been named the 2026 BBA Graduation Celebration student speaker, according to an announcement from the Wisconsin School of Business. The school said Shim made an impact at UW–Madison through leadership, campus involvement and a commitment to building community among other students.
During her time at Wisconsin, Shim served on the leadership boards of the Real Estate Club, Women in Business and the UW Club Gymnastics Team. The school said those roles reflected her focus on collaboration, mentorship and helping fellow students grow personally and professionally.
After graduation, Shim will begin work as an acquisitions analyst at Blue Vista Capital Management in Chicago, according to the school. She credits her success to the network of support she found during her undergraduate years.
The school said Shim also thanked her parents, Angela and Steve Shim, for their encouragement, along with the Career Engagement Studio faculty for mentorship and guidance over the past four years.
In her commencement address, Shim is expected to highlight the shared experiences that shaped the graduating class and reflect on how the Wisconsin community supported, challenged and inspired students, according to the school. Her message encourages graduates to carry forward connection and leadership as they move into the next chapter of their lives.
