• Man Who Struck Victim In Head With Gun At Glenview Motel Sentenced (patch.com) — A man previously accused of hitting someone with a gun at the Glenview Motel 6 has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison on a separate firearm conviction. Federal prosecutors say the Arlington Heights resident, a repeat felon barred from owning guns, was arrested in 2024 with a loaded handgun and body armor, and they described him as a continuing danger to the community.    

• Women's golf ends season at national championship (jg-tc.com) — Glenview’s own sophomore golfer Gigi Zera helped Illinois Wesleyan finish tied for 16th at the NCAA Division III women’s golf championship, placing 44th individually in Palm Desert, California. Her strong showing on the national stage comes as the Titans look ahead to next season with nearly their entire roster returning.
