Glenview Police Issue 109 Citations, Make 3 Arrests In Speed Campaign

The July enforcement effort included 99 speeding tickets and five distracted-driving citations.

GLENVIEW, IL — Police issued 109 citations and made three arrests during a monthlong July traffic-safety campaign focused on speeding and other dangerous driving behaviors.

The Glenview Police Department participated alongside state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois in an enforcement effort aimed at reducing traffic fatalities.

3 Traffic Arrests Reported

Police also reported three arrests during the campaign.

One driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license, another for driving without a valid license and a third for speeding 26 to 34 mph above the posted limit.

The department did not release additional details about the arrests.

The enforcement campaign was funded through federal traffic-safety money administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
