GLENVIEW, IL — A Chicago man was charged with aggravated battery to police officers and domestic battery following an investigation in Glenview, according to police.
Samuel Cox, 30, of Chicago, was arrested Aug. 23 in the 3700 block of Greenleaf Avenue and charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer, aggravated resisting or obstructing a peace officer and domestic battery.
Police said Cox was taken to the Cook County Correctional Facility to await a conditions hearing.
It was among several arrests and incidents recently reported by Glenview police.

Victor Manuel Calderon, 36, of Naperville, was arrested shortly before midnight Aug. 22 in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with DUI involving alcohol, improper passing on the left, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, making an improper U-turn, and operating an uninsured vehicle after a traffic stop investigation.
He was released pending an Oct. 1 court date in Skokie.
Nicholas Menard, 37, of Chicago, was arrested Aug. 23 near Waukegan Road and East Lake Avenue following a traffic crash investigation. Police charged him with DUI, suspended registration and operating a motorcycle on one wheel. A Sept. 30 court date was scheduled.
Colin Harper, 39, was arrested Aug. 18 in the 9500 block of Waukegan Road and charged with DUI following a traffic accident. He was cited and released with an Oct. 1 court date in Skokie.
Hiram Gonzalez, 57, of Morton Grove, was arrested Aug. 20 in the 4200 block of West Lake Avenue and charged with DUI following a traffic stop. He was released pending a Sept. 17 court appearance in Skokie.
Police responded Aug. 19 to a business in the 2200 block of Willow Road after a person was detained for allegedly taking merchandise intending to selling it on Facebook Marketplace.
The person was issued a $100 village ordinance ticket and a trespass warning.
A resident reported Aug. 18 that a package had been stolen from the 3800 block of Glenview Road. The resident told police FedEx indicated the package had been delivered, but it was gone when the resident returned home.
On Aug. 21, a resident reported purchasing three $100 Amazon gift cards from Walgreens in June and later discovering that all three had zero balances. The reported loss was $300.
Employees of a business in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported Aug. 22 that an unknown man stole an item valued at $49.
Officers responded Aug. 24 to the upper parking deck at 2701 Aviator Lane after several artificial plants were moved and thrown to the ground.
Police estimated the damage at $1,000.
Later that day, officers responded near Harlem Avenue and Golf Road after wires to a camera near the intersection were cut.
A resident reported Aug. 24 that while walking near their home in the 1800 block of Tower Drive, a man approached and offered money in exchange for a sexual favor.
The resident declined, according to police. No arrest was reported in connection with the incident.
Sung Ahn, 57, was arrested Aug. 20 near Golf Road and Lincoln Street and charged with having no valid driver's license following a traffic accident. A Sept. 30 court date was scheduled in Skokie.
Julio Barcenas, 37, of Lombard, was arrested Aug. 20 in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop. He was released pending a Sept. 14 court date.
