GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from Glenview Police Department reports. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.
1500 block of Executive Lane — A resident reported at 3:49 p.m. Sept. 18, that they scanned a QR code from a fake cryptocurrency site, resulting in $76,969.28 being taken from their cryptocurrency account, police said.
Dawon Meeks, 35, of Chicago, was arrested at 3:53 p.m. Sept. 19, in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with felony identity theft and felony fictitious or unlawfully altered driver's license following an investigation at a business in the area. He was released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release conditions and given a Sept. 22 court date in Skokie.
3000 block of Maple Leaf Drive — A resident reported at 7:53 p.m. Sept. 15, that they were contacted by people claiming to be with the FBI and New York Police Department about a credit card purchase for guns and ammunition. The resident was then told they were part of a money laundering investigation involving a drug lord.
1700 block of Greenwood Road — Police responded at 7:21 p.m. Sept. 20, for a residential burglary. The victim reported approximately $2,100 worth of items were taken from the residence.
100 block of Montgomery — Police responded at 6 a.m. Sept. 18, after a victim discovered their vehicle had been unlawfully entered while parked in front of a residence. Multiple personal items valued at approximately $2,150 were reported stolen.
1100 block of Milwaukee Avenue — A resident reported Sept. 17 that someone entered their unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet.
Linda Bottomlee, 59, of Glenview, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. Sept. 16, in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road and charged with DUI following a traffic stop. She was released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release conditions and given an Oct. 6 court date in Skokie.
John Brannigan, 71, of Northfield, was arrested at 12:05 p.m. Sept. 17, in the 2000 block of Waukegan Road and charged with DUI following a traffic stop. He was released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release conditions and given an Oct. 6 court date in Skokie.
Nicola Harris, 40, of Skokie, was arrested at 10:47 a.m. Sept. 15, at 2241 Willow Road and charged with one count of felony retail theft. She was released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release conditions and given a Sept. 17 court date in Skokie.
Lance Woods, 49, of Skokie, was arrested at 6:46 p.m. Sept. 18, in the 0 block of Waukegan Road and charged with violation of an order of protection following a traffic crash investigation. He was turned over to the Cook County Sheriff's Office for a conditions hearing.
2500 block of Happy Hollow Road — A resident reported at 7:44 a.m. Sept. 15, that the rear Illinois license plate had been stolen overnight from a vehicle parked in front of the residence.
900 block of Pfingsten Road — A victim reported at 8:17 p.m. Sept. 15, that the front Illinois license plate had been stolen.
1800 block of Tower Drive — A resident reported shortly after midnight Sept. 20 that a Trek bicycle had been stolen.
2200 block of Willow Road — A person was issued a village ordinance citation for retail theft Sept. 20 after loss prevention reported seeing the person remove a security device from merchandise valued at $199.99 and try to leave without paying.
400 block of Glenview Road — Police responded at 6:20 p.m. Sept. 20, after a person allegedly took a package of cigars valued at about $4 without paying after a cashier refused to accept a digital image of identification.
1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue — Police responded at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 21, after loss prevention reported seeing a person take an item from a display and leave without paying. The person made restitution and was given a trespass warning.
Ana Gonzalez, 22, of Wheeling, was arrested at 2:43 p.m. Sept. 7, in the 2600 block of Sanders Road and charged with no valid driver's license following a traffic stop. She was released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release conditions and given a Sept. 30 court date in Skokie.
Nun Cung, 35, of Prospect Heights, was arrested at 10:29 p.m. Sept. 7, in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue and charged with driving while license suspended following a traffic stop. He was released under Cook County Non-Discretionary Pretrial Release conditions and given an Oct. 16 court date in Skokie.
