1. $77K Crypto Scam, Felony Identity Theft: Glenview Police Blotter (patch.com) — Recent Glenview police reports detail a costly cryptocurrency scam, several identity theft and burglary cases, and multiple DUI and retail theft arrests across town. Residents are also warned about scammers impersonating federal agents and should note several incidents involving stolen license plates, a bicycle theft, and vehicle break-ins in Glenview neighborhoods.
2. Kohl Children's Museum To Open Permanent 'Roots Of Kindness' Exhibit (patch.com) — Families in Glenview can look forward to Kohl Children's Museum's new permanent Roots of Kindness exhibit, opening Oct. 27 and included with regular admission. Aimed at children ages 2 to 8, the fairytale-themed space uses play, storytelling and interactive zones to help kids practice empathy, gratitude, respect and emotional awareness.
3. Chicago Wolves To Donate $3M To 46 Charities This Season (patch.com) — Glenview-based Chicago Wolves are launching a "Season of Giving," pledging $3 million in donations to 46 Chicagoland charities during the 2026–27 season. Local readers can expect on-ice check presentations at Allstate Arena starting with the Oct. 10 home opener, supporting causes from food pantries and animal shelters to first responder and mental health organizations.
4. Busey Bank, Glenview Art League To Showcase Local Artists (patch.com) — Downtown Glenview's Busey Bank is teaming up with the Glenview Art League to showcase local artists in a new exhibit, "1868 The Exhibition," running from Oct. 1 through June 2027. Residents can view and buy artwork at the Waukegan Road branch during banking hours, enjoy an opening open house on Oct. 1, and explore a virtual gallery online.
