GLENVIEW, IL — The Chicago Wolves announced their 26-player opening roster Friday as the Glenview-based organization prepares to begin its 33rd season Saturday in Manitoba.
The defending Western Conference champions will face the Manitoba Moose at 2 p.m. Oct. 3, followed by another matchup at 2 p.m. Sunday. Both games will air on FloHockey, according to the team.
The Wolves, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes, will carry 15 forwards, eight defensemen and three goaltenders.
Chicago's home opener is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, against Manitoba at Allstate Arena in Rosemont. It will be the first of 30 games broadcast on FOX Chicago+. The full season will also air on FloHockey.
The season also marks the start of the Wolves' previously announced "Season of Giving" initiative. As Patch reported in September, the organization plans to donate $3 million to 46 Chicago-area charities during the 2026-27 season.
Recipients include food pantries, animal shelters and organizations supporting first responders, military personnel and people facing mental health challenges. The first donation presentations are expected at the Oct. 10 home opener.
The opening roster follows, with jersey numbers listed before each player's name.
