Glenview Park District Promotes Jim Warnstedt to Superintendent of Park & Facility Services

The Glenview Park District announced the promotion of Jim Warnstedt, to the position on Superintendent of Park & Facility Services. Warnstedt fills the position vacated by Fred Gullen who retired from the park district earlier this month after 22 years of service in that position.

As Superintendent of Park & Facility Services, Warnstedt will be responsible for overseeing and managing one of the park district’s four major divisions including all parks, playgrounds, sports fields, outdoor tennis and basketball courts, and centralized responsibility for district-wide facility maintenance issues. He will have direct supervisory responsibility for the district’s Park Planner, Park Services Coordinator, Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and two Park Services Supervisors as well as indirect supervisory responsibility for 21 full time staff and dozens of seasonal workers.

Warnstedt joined the Glenview Park District in 2010 as Park Center’s Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds and was promoted in 2011 to the position of Supervisor of Parks in the Park & Facility Services Division. Prior to joining the Glenview Park District, Warnstedt was the Assistant Superintendent of Parks for the Glen Ellyn Park District.
