Apartment Maintenance - IMMEDIATE PLACEMENT

BG Staffing, provides temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire services to the Multi-Family housing industry and we are looking for full-time maintenance technicians for our property management clients. This assignment may be temp to perm or a direct hire.

The responsibilities of the maintenance tech include, but are not limited to:

• Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair older HVAC equipment, galvanized plumbing systems, electrical systems, all major appliances, and other building systems
• Demonstrate general skills in basic carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and quality of workmanship
• Respond to resident maintenance requests/work orders and ensure timely completion
• Serve as on-call emergency contact for afterhours building emergencies
• Maintain routine/preventative maintenance programs and cleaning, painting, and turnover checklists/schedules
• Oversee work of vendors/contractors
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance repairs, replacements, and unit turnover work
• Perform all rent ready unit turnover work necessary to restore vacant apartments to move in ready condition when tenants vacate including but not limited to cleaning, painting, rekeying locks, and repairs
• Assist with common areas and grounds cleaning and maintenance
• Have knowledge of fair housing law, disability accommodations, and OSHA guidelines and comply within
• Shovel snow and salt from walkways when necessary which may include nights and weekends
• Occasionally assist with the daily cleaning of the community room, leasing office, fitness centers, bathrooms, laundry rooms, storage rooms, elevator cabs, parking lot, lobbies, stairwells, courtyard, and all other building common areas.
• Provide superior customer service to all residents and prospects
• All other duties as required by your supervisor

Requirements:

• 1 plus years multifamily maintenance experience preferred
• HVAC certification type II or universal preferred
• Ability lift up to 75lbs
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends when necessary
• MUST live within a 30 minute drive from property to ensure timely emergency call response
