Armed Robbers Strike Glenview Store, Pistol Whip Clerk: Police
Two men robbed a liquor store at gunpoint Tuesday night, police said.

GLENVIEW, IL — Two men in hoodies robbed a liquor store at gunpoint Tuesday night in Glenview, police said.
Officers were called to Glenview Liquors at 1214 Waukegan Road, across the street from Glenview Fire Station No. 6, around 9:30 p.m. for a report that an armed robbery had just occurred, according to police.
One of the men brandished a handgun and demanded cash, police said. The pair stole cigarettes, alcohol and cash valued at more than $500 before fleeing in an unknown direction. No detailed description of the robbers or their vehicle was available from police.

Police said the gunman struck a clerk in the head with his handgun during the incident, leaving him with cuts to his head. The clerk was treated at Glenbrook Hospital and later released.
