Our bloggers did not shy away from controversy this week. Here's a round-up of some of our best blogs of the week.

  • Ellen Beth Gill takes on . She specifically says that Rep. Robert Dold will not be able to succeed with the same strategy that worked for now Sen. Mark Kirk. “I don't think that the Mark Kirk fake moderate playbook will work for Bob Dold. Republican party uncompromising extremism has killed the Republican moderate, both genuine and fake,” she writes.
  • Speaking of , he posted a new blog about . “It is absolutely critical that we protect our environment and conserve it for generations to come.  As a Troopmaster for the Boy Scouts, I believe that we must teach our children to respect the environment and all of our open spaces,” he wrote.

She writes: “Attachment parenting isn’t about revolving the whole world around the child in an extreme way, as many detractors would say. It is about helping the child have a good foundation of trust and knowing they are heard, loved and cared for so they can treat others the way they were treated.”
