One of my favorite places to go on date night is Redstone Grill in Oakbrook, Il. It's always a pleasure to dine at Redstone because everything on the menu is delicious, especially their buffalo shrimp with a side of blue cheese dressing(made fresh daily). It is to die for.
Typically my drink of choice is a nice glass of Pinot Noir. But my hubby convinced me to try Red Stone's speciality drink, Stoli Doli. A vodka martini that is infused with fresh pineapple, allowed to infuse for up to 7 full days. My taste buds were excited to be introduced to such refreshing and pleasant flavors! Usually martinis can be dry and bitter or very sugary, however this drink was pretty close to perfection.
Our friendly bartender assured me it was a cinch to make. After indulging in a few of these luscious cocktails I decided this would be a perfect Christmas gift!
What you need:
1 & 1/2 large pineapple ( Peeled and cut in 1 inch slices)
1 (750ml) bottle of vodka (premium would be the best choice)
1 jar with lid ( opening must be wide enough to fit pineapple through)
Directions:
Start by rinsing and drying jar. Place sliced pineapple inside of jar , pour entire bottle of vodka into jar. Seal jar, rest in dark place for 3-5 days.
When you are ready to enjoy:
1. Drain vodka into a separate jar.
2. Remove pineapple slices.
3. Juice pineapples thoroughly.
4. Combine fresh juice into vodka, and store in fridge until you are ready to enjoy!
