Burglar Pries Open Backdoor, Ransacks Rooms: Glenview Police Blotter

During the incident in the 1800 block of Longvalley Road, all the rooms in the home were ransacked, according to police.

Christina R. Sinnott, 44, of the 700 block of Shermer Road, Glenview, had a warrant out of Cook County and was arrested at 11:59 a.m. June 17. She was released after posting bond.

Litonya Williams, 56, of the 7800 block of S. Jeffrey Boulevard, Chicago, is accused of two counts of felony identity theft, and was arrested at 10 a.m. June 14, at the Cook County Jail, 2600 S. California Ave. The charges followed an investigation into an incident reported on Nov. 3, 2022, in the 2000 block of Burr Oak Drive. She remained in the custody of the Cook County Sheriff.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Ricardo Romero-Puli, 26, of the 5100 block of W. Fulton Avenue, Chicago, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid driver's license, improper traffic lane usage, and was arrested at 8:32 p.m. June 14, after a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Greenwood Road. He was held for a bond hearing at the Skokie Courthouse.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Yenni Gomez Arteaga, 44, of the 700 block of 7th Street, Northfield, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 10:17 p.m. June 15, following the investigation of an incident in the 700 block of 7th Street. She was held for a bond hearing at the Skokie Courthouse.

BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

  • A resident in the 600 block of Long Road reported that during the overnight hours of June 14, someone entered their parked, unlocked vehicle and stole loose change.
  • A resident in the 600 block of Long Road called police to report that during the overnight hours of June 14, someone entered their parked, unlocked vehicles. Nothing was taken.
  • An Antioch resident called police to report that between 1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. June 15, someone shattered the front passenger side window on their vehicle and stole a purse while it was parked in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road.
  • A Mount Prospect resident reported that between 10:25 a.m. and 10:35 a.m. June 16, someone broke the rear passenger side window on their vehicle, while the vehicle was parked in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue. A black Aerospace book bag was stolen.

FORGERY

  • A Glenview resident reported at 12:18 p.m. June 15, a check mailed at the Glenview Post Office, 1400 Patriot Blvd., was intercepted in the mail and cashed to a different person for a different amount.
  • A Glenview resident reported that between June 11 and June 17, someone stole a personal check from the United States Post Office at 1400 Patriot Blvd.

STOLEN VEHICLE

A Glenview resident reported that between 4:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. June 15, someone stole their vehicle from the parking lot at 2200 Tanglewood Drive.

THEFT

  • A Riverwoods resident reported that between April 7 and June 14, someone made 15 fraudulent transactions on their Busey Bank Business account.
  • A Glenview resident reported that on June 11, a personal check was stolen from the Glenview Post Office, 1400 Patriot Blvd. The check was later cashed at a bank in St. Paul, Minnesota.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident in the 1800 block of Longvalley Road called police to report that between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. June 16, someone pried open the back door to the residence and ransacked all the rooms inside.

HARASSMENT BY TELEPHONE

The manager of a business in the 1800 block of Tower Drive reported at 2:10 p.m. June 17, a man called the business and made threatening statements. The phone number registers to the Mariana Islands.

SPEEDING

A Glenview resident was cited at 8:04 p.m. June 19, for speeding 26 mph over the limit following a traffic stop in the 500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. A court date of July 27 was assigned.
