Car Crashes Into Glenview Nail Salon; 3 Employees Taken To Hospital
Police said the driver hit the gas instead of the brake before striking the Shermer Road business.
GLENVIEW, IL — A vehicle crashed into a Glenview nail salon Thursday morning after the driver mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, police said.
Glenview officers responded at 9:48 a.m. Aug. 6, to 2699 Shermer Road for a report of a vehicle striking a building.
Police said the driver hit the accelerator rather than the brake and crashed into the business.

No injuries were reported from the impact itself, but three employees were taken to a hospital by the Glenview Fire Department after experiencing symptoms related to stress caused by the crash.
A Glenview Building and Zoning inspector responded to the scene and determined the building did not sustain structural damage.
