Chestnut Bridge Construction Resumes Monday

Delays expected beginning Feb. 27.

GLENVIEW, IL — Construction will begin on the north side of Chestnut Bridge Monday, Feb. 27, and the Village of Glenview has warned drivers to expect delays.

From Monday until the bridge is completed, temporary traffic signals will be used at the Chestnut Avenue Bridge over the West Fork of the North Branch of the Chicago River (west of Waukegan Road), according to the village.

Once the temporary signal is in use, traffic will use one lane of Chestnut over the bridge, similar to last year's construction, the official blog of the project said.
