Chicago Man Nabbed On 3 Separate Burglaries: Blotter
The 58-year-old is accused of three counts of burglary and one count of theft over $500: Glenview Police Blotter.

Ilena Medina, 23, of the 7100 block of W Greenleaf Street, Niles, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 10:19 p.m. Sept. 2, following a traffic stop in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue. She was released on bond and assigned a court date of Oct. 8.

Cortez Dotsn, 58, of the 6600 block of S Drexel Street, Chicago, is accused of three counts of burglary and one count of theft, stemming from three separate investigations, and was arrested at noon, Aug. 30, at the Skokie Courthouse. One charge of burglary, along with a charge of theft over $500, came from an investigation into an incident in the 900 block of Harlem Avenue on Oct. 16. A second burglary charge came from an investigation into an incident in the 200 block of Waukegan Road on Oct. 16. A third charge of burglary came from an investigation into an incident on Dec. 4, 2020, in the 1700 block of Glenview Road. He was turned over to the custody of the Dupage County Sheriff’s Department.

INCIDENTS
BURGLARY
- Police responded to a business alarm at 1:09 a.m. Sept. 1, in the 900 block of Harlem Avenue. Upon arrival, they located a shattered front glass door. Several items were stolen from the interior of the business.
- Police discovered a shattered front glass door at 1:38 a.m. Sept. 1, on a business in the 700 block of Waukegan Road. Several items were stolen from the interior of the business.
- A resident in the 2800 block of Wilson Lane reported at 3:29 p.m. Sept. 4, someone damaged the front door to their residence, entered the home and stole items from the home. Reported loss is over $25,000.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
A resident in the 2100 block of Rugen Road reported at 9:48 a.m. Sept. 1, someone threw a carjack through their vehicle’s driver’s side rear window while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied.
BURGLARY FROM VEHICLE
A Northbrook resident called police at 9:19 a.m. Sept. 2, to report property stolen from the interior of his vehicle, while the car was parked at 1727 Waukegan Road. Reported loss is $31,145.63.
THEFT
A Glenview resident reported at 10:42 a.m. Sept. 2, an athletic bag was stolen from the inside of a locker at a business in the 3800 block of Willow Road.
BATTERY
A Des Plaines resident called police at 9:55 p.m. Sept. 2, to report being pushed and threatened during an argument with a man in the parking lot of a business in the 2600 block of Lehigh Avenue.
THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
A Palos Hills resident reported at 7:58 a.m. Sept. 3, someone removed the four wheels off of their vehicle while it was parked in front of a home in the 0-100 block of Parkview Lane. Reported loss is $500.
SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE
- A Des Plaines resident was cited at 6:23 p.m. Sept. 3, for driving on a suspended driver's license, failure to wear a seatbelt, after a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Central Road. They were released.
- A Chicago resident was cited at 3:25 a.m. Sept. 4, for driving with a suspended driver's license, speeding, after a traffic stop in the 1700 block of East Lake Avenue. They were released.
GRADUATED DRIVER'S LICENSE VIOLATION
A Glenview resident was cited at 2:37 a.m. Sept. 4, for graduated driver's license violations, after a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Fontana Drive.
MISDEMEANOR SPEEDING
- A Chicago resident was cited at 7:10 p.m. Sept 4, for speeding 26-30 mph over, after a traffic stop in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. They were released pending a court date of Oct. 8.
- A Northbrook resident was cited at 8:40 p.m. Sept. 4, for speeding 26-30 mph over, expired registration, after a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Pfingsten Road. They were released pending a court date of Sept. 21.
POSSESSION OF CANNABIS
A Skokie resident was cited at 8:20 p.m. Sept. 4, for unlawful possession of cannabis by a passenger, failure to wear a seat belt, after a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Waukegan Road. They were released pending a court date on Oct. 8.
BURGLARY ATTEMPT
An employee of a business in the 200 block of Waukegan Road reported at 2:32 a.m. Sept. 7, damage to the rear door of the business consistent with a pry-type tool. The door remained locked and closed. Entry was not gained into the business.
