District 34 Names New Superintendent
Experienced school veteran tabbed to lead Glenview school district.

GLENVIEW, IL - Glenview School District 34 hired a new superintendent Thursday night.
The appointment of Dr. Dane Delli, now the superintendent at the Mount Prospect-based River Trails School District 26, was made official by a unanimous vote of the board of education at a special meeting.
Delli will begin in his new role on July 1, and until then will work with interim superintendents Dr. Patricia Wernet and Dr. Griff Powell "to ensure a smooth transition in leadership," according to a district news release.

“I feel fortunate and excited to serve a district with such passionate, dedicated teachers and an involved and supportive parent community," said Delli, who has worked at every level of education from pre-school through college. "These are some of the most essential elements to ensure our students continue to grow and flourish. I look forward to the years ahead in Glenview District 34."
Delli has led District 26 since 2007.

“Dr. Delli was the clear choice to the Board of Education because of his proven track record of success, strong leadership qualities, effective communication skills and clear understanding of instruction and the qualities of a state-of-the art curriculum,” District 34 School Board President Cathe Russe said. “He also places a strong importance on collaboration and team building in order to effectively work with the Board, administrative team, staff and community.”
